This tutorial will
show you how to save
an imbedded music
file from your
IncrediMail
stationery program.
Saving Music -
normally, when you
open an e-mail from
someone who has
added music, you can
just right-click on
the e-mail and
receive the
following message
box if you do not
already have the
sound added to your
style box:

You can then select
the circled area and
save the music to
your Sounds folder
in Incredimail.
However, there are
times when this
selection is NOT
highlighted and you
cannot add the sound
to your Incredimail
files.
Here is what you do.
The first thing you
will need to check
is whether or not
you can view hidden
files. To do this,
you need to click on
My Computer

and then you want to
click on TOOLS and
then FOLDER OPTIONS

You then want to
click on VIEW and
check in the
ADVANCED SETTINGS
area to ensure that
your settings are
set as shown.

Now we are ready to
go to your
Incredimail Runtime
folder to snag the
music you want.
Your Runtime folders
can be found by
following the icons
below:

**Note** --- This
will be the name of
YOUR computer. You
will not find a "Kimmi"
folder (unless your
computer name is
Kimmi like mine!)

Now that you are in
your message folder,
you will see a
screen similar to
this:

This is a listing of
all of your
Incredimail messages
that you have
opened. I find it
easiest to sort them
from newest to
oldest by clicking
on the DATE MODIFIED
folder until the
most recent one is
at the top and the
oldest at the
bottom.
Now you will need to
click on each
individual folder
until you find the
letter you opened
that had the music
imbedded on it.
When you click on
the letter file
above, you will find
another folder
marked "SHOW" which
you need to click as
well. Provided you
have found the right
letter, here is what
you should see:

You will see any
signature tags, the
stationery, the
music file,
everything in the
e-mail message will
be shown here. Now,
you want to right
click on your sound
file to get the
following menu to
pop up.

Now you can just
select "Add
animation to
IncrediMail Style
Box" and you will
have the music saved
to share with
others.
I hope you have
found this tutorial
to be helpful. If
you have any
questions, please do
not hesitate to
e-mail me
(please do not
change the subject
line) and I'll see
if I can assist you.
