This tutorial will guide
you thru the steps to
take to change your
avatar that is seen when
you post comments at
Fotki when picking up
tags and on your Fotki
page.
Go
to
www.fotki.com
and log in to your
account.
Once you have logged in
and your Fotki album is
on the screen, you want
to check the menu bar at
the top.
You should have "My
Settings" in your menu
bar. If you do NOT,
then just move your
mouse to the left of any
of the selections you do
have in your menu bar
until you get the little
downward pointing
triangle to the left of
the menu bar item as
shown in the picture
here:
Click on that triangle
and you will see the
following menu. Select
"My Settings" from the
pull down menu.
This will put the "My
Settings" icon in your
menu bar. Click on the
icon and it will load
your Profile page for
Fotki. Your Profile
page is where you make
all of your changes to
your Fotki account. In
the upper left corner
you will see your
current avatar.
Click the "change
avatar" link and you
will be taken to this
screen:
Here is where you can
upload a new photograph
to use as your avatar.
You can use any image
you'd like, just be sure
that it complies with
Fotki's Terms of Service
Agreement. As you can
see, I've used a
signature tag I created
as my avatar. It is
larger then the
recommended 120x140
pixels, but it was
resized proportionately
by Fotki for use on the
site.
Click on Browse to find
the image you want to
use and then select
"Upload new photo" to
save it to your profile.
